Since I first met Isaiah Michael Joyner in 2023, he has been one of the most consistent and meaningful supporters of my work and studio practice. As my first collector in New Orleans, Isaiah has welcomed two of my silkscreen monotypes into his personal collection. He has invested in my growth as an artist by opening doors and creating opportunities that I could not have accessed on my own.

I met Isaiah just last year at Gloryland in Houston, and by that evening he had invited me to dinner and introduced me to people in the art community who I’m still connected to today. In our first year of knowing each other, we’ve collaborated through my university teaching, where he shared his collection, passion for collecting, and growing curatorial practice with my students, and more recently he connected me with a collector who acquired one of my works.
